THE DIARY OF STEPHANIE DANE

I enjoyed reading THE DIARY OF STEPHANIE DANE.
This book was a diary written by the title character about her years in high school. She explains how she thought that school was a big deal, but everyone else thought that it was boring and not important.
She describes her years dealing with all of the problems high schoolers have, such as pregnancy, violence, and just handling life.
I liked this book but felt that it just brushed the surface. It covers four years in 68 pages. A lot of horrific things happen to the friends of the main character but we never can connect to her feelings. I wish Mr. Bell would have written a book with more depth, covering Stephanie and her life away from school. Stephanie is a survivor but we don't know why.
Although a quick and enjoyable read, it's not as well-developed or as in-depth as many other titles written on the same subject and in the same diary format.

MOVING 4WARD

Wow. I had to stop reading several times through this short book to take a deep breath. The author very bravely tells his story of battling (and sometimes conquering) his many addictions. The writing is refreshing in its simplicity. He is a real person speaking conversationally, sometimes fast to get it all out. This is a very powerful memoir that I suggest to anyone who seeks self-forgiveness.

ESSAY FROM DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILIES: LITERARY BETRAYAL

I wanted to give this book 4.5 stars but since I could not 4 will have to do. I read this book not expecting much from the description on the back. However after reading the essays in the "1st book" you can't help but continue on to the "2nd book". I wish there had maybe been a bit more closure at the end *SPOILER* with how each individual decided how to handle Dean/Manny's very public apology* However the writing is strong when it needs to be and weak in the same respect (not in a bad way) mostly I noticed this in the 1st part. I was able to easily get used to it knowing they were essays and not a continuous story. I was touched by both parts and how well the point of cause and effect came across in this book. Definitely a fan of Casey Bell now and looking forward to reading more from this author.

A FAMILY OF STRANGERS
By dor_cas
A powerful and enjoyable read.
This is a powerful book that narrates the story about love and forgiveness. For most of us, family is everything to us; imagine what your reaction would be if the family you have grown up in turns out to be not your biological family! Before I even say much about this book, the adaptation of this book belongs on a screen. This is a fantastic book that has an enriched plot that will have you hooked from the cover of the book to the end. I actually like the art that they have employed on the cover of the book; I think if you care to give it your attention the theme of the book is depicted on the book. The characters are well developed and morph with the plot of the story. The story is built on suspense and the author uses very simple language making the book very comprehensible. I would totally recommend this book for other readers.

Good book with a good message. Some of the pictures seemed a little rough and crude, in the amateur sense, but otherwise, it was good.
