Whether you are pro-life or pro-choice I am not here to start an argument. The purpose of this article is to give you the facts on whether or not a woman, by law, has the right to have an abortion. In Alabama it is illegal to have an abortion, however in New York a woman can have an abortion at nine months pregnant. How can one state have no abortion and the other permit it at any time? It is simple. You must know the laws to understand this. Before I discuss abortion let’s look at the laws you are very well aware of.
If you receive food stamps (from the government) you do not have the right to purchase what you want. The government decides what you can or cannot buy, how much of it you can and cannot buy, and when you can and cannot buy it. This is because it is not your money. When you use the government’s money you agree to the terms of the government from both present and future. If you are arrested and use a public defender, it is not your money, so you do not have the right to choose your lawyer. That is why the police say, “If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed (by the state) for you.” Appointed means decided on beforehand; designated or decided for you. You don’t have any rights to choose the lawyer, because it is not your money. If you choose to apply for a grant (money from the government) if you win it, the government decides what you can and cannot do with the money. If you do the opposite you can be arrested and given a fine. Why? Because it is not your money.
Back when Christopher Christie was governor of New Jersey he removed funding from the public-school system. People were upset, but he had the right. I remember receiving tons of emails from arts organizations from all over America when President Donald Trump removed some funding from the NEA (National Endowment of the Arts). The emails showed their disappointments in the decision, but there was nothing they could do. When you agree to use government money you automatically agree to their decisions. Whether they stay the same or change when you take the money you agree to anything and everything they choose to do, whether you are in favor or not. Anything that is government funded, the people do not have any rights.
So, with that said, because abortion is government funded, you do not have a right to abortion. Every state’s government gets (legally) to decide what is done with the taxes. When you agree for something to be government funded at that time, you agree to any and all decisions the government makes on that funding from the time the funding begins to the time the funding ends. You have the right to protest, you have the right to sign petitions, you have the right to send letters to the government, but at the end of the day you have no rights on the decisions. That is why wealthy people seek after venture capitals and investors (instead of grants), because they do not want the government making decisions on their businesses. So, whether you are for or against abortion, just as long as it is government funded, the people do not have a say. The government has the final say. That is not my opinion, my feelings, or my thoughts, that is the facts.
